A bunch of flowers card by Riikka

Hello there everyone! It's Riikka here today sharing a flowery card with you. I was planning to do a real summer card but somehow the project took a turn to the autumn side while I was making it. I guess it's the color scheme so just by changing the powders you use, you can make the card filled with exotic blooms or sweet meadow flowers or last blooms of the summer!

The idea to this came from the flower die I used but also from the magnificent new colors of Wow powders. I ended up using quite a few new ones here. If you want to see how I made the card, please see the step by step below!

Step 1. Make your flowers. Use a flower die or cut by hand some blooms and coat them with embossing powders. I did two coats to all and used new Metalline and Primary powders. You can emboss all the flowers to same color or alternate colors like I did.

Step 2. Add dimension to the flowers by adding white and black powder to the centers. Ink the flower using Wow embossing ink but sprinkle the …

Floral Card Set : Jo Herbert

Hi All and welcome to a fun cardset where I make 4 cards using the same background Stamp "Tropical" from WOW Embossing very own stamp collection range.  Links below of our range both from the US & UK stores.
Stampsets -
I have made  process video of today's cardset.  Now don't laugh at my video as I am well aware I look like I am performing CPR with my MISTI tool when stamping the background stamp as I have used textured cardstock and sometimes you need that little bit of elbow grease to have a good stamped impression.  hehehe

I love the range of colour powders that WOW Embossing has, you can pretty much grab a colour to match your cardstock or very close to. So for today I have used a tone on tone technique where I match  the embossing powder with  my cardstock as I wanted to create a simple yet effective DIY pattern paper. I wanted my cardset t…

Best in You...

This month we're shouting loud and proud about some of our latest releases.

I've used the gorgeous Catherine Pooler Best In You stamp set along with some of my WOW! favourites. Please note, there's no teal, I know, seriously!!! :) Picks myself off the floor !!!!
To do the sentiment in two colours, start off by masking off the word 'Best" ink up the rest of the stamp and emboss with WOW! Bird of Paradise, clean off the stamp and mask off the rest of the words, this time leaving the word 'Best' on show, ink up and emboss with WOW! Pink Robin

Using the solid circle stamp emboss with WOW! Pink Robin, to give a slightly darker shade, emboss twice, I did this with the top and bottom one, I then used WOW! Sunset Boulevard for the swirl in the centre. Continue using WOW! Sunset Boulevard for the smaller swirl stamp.

Sorry, my light went a bit weird !!!
I used the gorgeous, seriously this is stunning, WOW! Kiwi krush for the leaves and WOW! Goose for the dots.

Mother's Day

Hi All and welcome to a simple yet fun card playing with Ellen Hudson Botanicals stampset. I loved playing with this colour combination as I feel this is such a classy combo.  Here in Australia we are celebrating Mother's Day  so that is the reason for the extra blog post and video process.
I have first heat embossed the floral image with Metalline First Frost, then the leaves with Metallic Silver and added the circles with white embossing powders. Making the focus being on the bottom right hand side so I can place the sentiment towards the top left.
To make the embossing pop that little more extra I have ink blended with Distress Oxide Hickory smoke ink with a very light hand then wiping excess ink off with a tissue. It is a subtle technique but effective for heat resisting.
To finish the card off I have added some Pretty Pink Posh clear droplets in various sizes.
I have created a process video of today's card creation.

Hope you enjoyed today's bonus card creation.
